Physical Movement and Playful Fun with Scratchworks Theatre Company

Suitable for total beginners in theate training, professional performers looking for movement practice and artists seeking new approaches and inspirations, aged 16+.

After a 15-min introduction time, we will warm up, play games, learn approaches to enhance our physical presence and expression, and explore creativity of movement. Group creativity will emerge towards the end. There will be social time following the session at our space -- the studio of Camden People's Theatre and also at the cafe/bar, where you can grab refreshments and drinks. The workshop is facilitated by Alice Higginson-Clarke from Scratchworks Theatre Company. Alice co-founded Scratchworks Theatre Company in 2013. The team collaboratively write, devise, direct & produce each show. Based in London, Alice is also a workshop facilitator with Freshwater Theatre Company and was a JMK Director’s Award Finalist in 2016. With her background in dance, Alice has also worked as a Choreographer for productions at the Minack Theatre and for BYMT.

Notes:

The workshop is 1.5h long, from 7:15pm -8:45pm. The event door opens from 7pm to kickstart the introduction and welcome. 

Flexible clothing is highly recommended.
